Banana and Almond Overnight Oats

I started experimenting with overnight oats a couple of weeks before the COVID lockdown, and they quickly became a regular breakfast option. It’s easy to throw these together in 5 minutes before bed.

Ingredients

  • 3 dessertspoons oats
  • 1 dessertspoon chia seeds (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 75ml milk
  • ½ banana
  • 3 dessertspoon natural yoghurt
  • 1 teaspoon almond nut butter
  • 1 teaspoon runny honey
  • flaked almonds (optional)

Directions

Mix the oats, chia seeds, cinnamon, and salt together in a jar.

Add the milk and stir to combine.

Slice the banana onto the top of the oat mixture.

Spoon the yoghurt onto the bananas.

Dollop the almond nut butter into the middle of the yoghurt, and drizzle the honey over that.

Sprinkle the flaked almonds onto the top.

Put a lid on the jar and leave in the fridge overnight.
